Colleen C Brady
Colleen C Brady is an independent filmmaker and creative producer who specializes in finding the fascinating in the everyday — drawn to underrepresented suburban and rural communities and stories that are quietly radical, life-affirming, and conversation-starting.
Their debut feature documentary, Firebird: Built to Burn (2023), won three Best Director awards and two Best Picture awards at festivals and is now streaming on Prime Video and Apple TV. Their follow-up short, Amish Country Queer (2024), has won three Best Documentary awards and serves as a proof of concept for an upcoming feature.
With experience in both independent filmmaking and commercial post-production, Colleen brings a creative vision and practical precision to every project from initial idea to final delivery. Alongside teaching and commercial editing, they continue to seek uplifting stories, motivated by a genuine love for storytelling.
